Hello,
       Greetings! I would like to know how to write a chosen result to the output file. When I am running a nonlinear analysis with explicit time steps, I want diana to write (TABULAR FORM) the result of a particular time step. Is there a way to do this?

When I'm running the analysis of a clamped geometrical non-linear concrete beam without reinforcement with three point loads the following error occurs:
SEVERITY: ABORT
TRACE BACK: f_oupt
ERROR CODE: /DIANA/LB/FL44/0007
ERRORMSG.A: Write error on FILOS file pru = 37718, bc = 40960.
System or hardware error
DIANA-JOB ABORTED
 
Can anyone tell me what this means? And probably where I should look for a problem? I've taken a look at the .dat file and nothing seems wrong with it.

I try to make push-over analysis. I made it succesfully under dead load, but when I start to make analysis with second file to push the structure it gives an error like;
SEVERITY  : ABORT
ERROR CODE: /DIANA/NL/IS41/0033
ERRORMSG.A: Illegal load-set 2 specified in EXECUTE STEPS command.
The load-set 2 has not been defined.
Define this load-set or change the load specification.
DIANA-JOB ABORTED
I am sure I defined second load case succesfully. But unfortunately it gives errror. What might be the reason?

From the DIANA User's Manual, part "FX+ for DIANA" I have been trying to do the example of the Post-Tensioned Concrete Beam. The linear analysis went fine, but when I tried the SLS Analysis something went wrong with the integration scheme (part 8.4.2). It was also possible to do the analysis without adjusting the integration scheme, but then I ran into the same problem for the ULS Analysis.
The error message is as follows:

ERROR CODE: /DIANA/LB/FL44/0237
ERRORMSG.A: Too many values specified for NINTEG (2)
Maximum is 1. Probably input error.

Of course the first thing I did was to try other integration schemes than the 3 and 11 for respectively GAUSS and SIMPSO, but neither one of them work. Even only applying a GAUSS scheme with 2 or 3 points wasn't possible. Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong here?

Hello
We are two guys working on our Masters thesis about NLFEA on shear critical beams. When loading results in FX+ the following error appears: "Seek failed on an unnamed file". This is when we are looking at 2D Element Crack Pattern --> Eknn Intpnt. Then the crack pattern is not visible.
Does somebody know how to deal with this problem?

I would like to give some material properties to concrete. The behaviour of concrete model is described by a linear branch with a subsequent softening branch, which accounts for tension stiffening effects. The concrete model representing the main features of the concrete behaviour under cyclic loading, takes secondary effects, such as crack closing, into account.The parameters of concrete are shown as follows:
Compressive ultimate strength(MPa): 13.9
Compressive ultimate strain(%): 0.3
Residual compressive strength for confined concrete(MPa): 2.78
Residual compressive strength for unconfined concrete(MPa): 0
Tensile ultimate strength(Mpa): 1.39
I follow the property manager—static nonlinearity—concrete and brittle materials and see various options, could you please suggest me the steps I should choose to put the above parameters to my model?

I’m writing to ask about which considerations the DIANA makes to overcome the shear locking problem on the Reissner-Mindlin plate finite element (Q12PL).
I’ve read on the documentation that the DIANA modifies the transverse shear strain field when the structures presents shear locking problems.
1 – How is it done?
2 - The moment and shear forces equations changes with this consideration?

Dear friends,
I am trying to model behavior of concrete slab under compresion to failure. The concrete slab is made from two layers of concrete thicknes 40mm and 60mm and between them is Oplatol (it is a kind of oil used for coating the formwork when concreting concrete elements on construction site so the formwork wouldn't bond with the fresh concrete). The point is that the two layers of concrete should slip between each other and the deflection in the mid-span of the slab should be biger than when it is made as a monolith slab. For concrete I am using multi-directional fixed crack model.. and physical properties like it is shown in tutorial ConcMas.pdf,i have reinforcement in lower layer (thicknes 40mm) and my reinforcement is diameter 5mm also the material and physical properties of the reinforcement are like the ones in the tutorial in ConcMas.pdf. In short everything for the concrete and reinforcement is the same as in the tutorial only the numbers are diferent (young modulus of concrete, yield stress and so on..).  So nothing out of ordenery except this Oplatol which i am trying to model with interface elements.I am using the interface elements recomended for masonary modeling also from tutorual ConcMas.pdf, exepct i am using the bond slip behaviour insted combined crack-shear brushing. But when i run my analysis i keep geting the eror:

SAVERITY: FATAL
ERROR CODE:/DIANA/LB/DS30/3105
ERRORMSG.F:Material property YOUNG not specified in inputfile or not correct number
specified (-1,should be 2)
 
It seems to me like it is saying that i didn't eneter young modulus of some material correctly but i checked everything and it is ok..
Please Help if you have any ideas what is my mistake!

I'm trying to model the hydration of concrete but I can't figure out how to calculate the maximum produced heat ( MAXPRD ) and the maximum heat production (ALPHA).
are there typical values should be used. the values used in the manual were:
MAXPRD 73528.
ALPHA .72E9
I need to know how can I calculate these values?

Hello, I have two problems. The first one is related to 3D orthotropic material, I complete E1,E2,E3, u1,u2,u3 and G1,G2,G3. This material is particularly different because direction 1 and 3 have high values and direction 2 is nearly to zero. I do not complete others properties because I do not have them. And, then when I run the eigenvalue analysis, an error message appears . I don't know if it is because I have to complete all properties.
Another doubt is that when I apply this property on a simple model with 3D orthotropic material, it works. So I need to know how I can export a fxforDiana file to iDiana file. I wonder if anyone can help me.

line interface issue

I'm trying to put a line interface between two 2D meshed surfaces.
I need to put the interface in order to model the discrete cracking between mortar and brick.
According to the FX+ manual I should be able to use the "From Node Selection" but I'm not able to use it. This feature even doesn't appear in the mesh->element->create interface element->dialog box. It is such a big deal since it appears to be the only way to put a line interface elemente between two surfaces in contact (surfaces which have a common side).
Could someone help me? Do I wrong something?
